Qualifications
Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling (BACP accredited training), CPPD Counselling SchoolAdvanced Diploma and an MA (accredited by Middlesex University) in Integrative Psychotherapy, the Minster Centre (UKCP accredited training). My training involved humanistic and psychodynamic approaches. I am a UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) registered psychotherapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
I am also a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (MA Hons) and hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Education from the University of Bristol. I have a background of working in education.
In addition to my private work, my experience includes working as a counsellor in a school, a youth centre, a GP practice and a low cost therapy service in North London. I also currently work as a psychotherapist for a charity where many clients have experienced childhood trauma. In addition, I have experience of working with women who have experienced miscarriage and fertility issues. I have also been a trustee of Cocoon Family Support, a charity providing support to women affected by perinatal mental health issues and their families, and previously overseen their counselling service.
I am fully insured to practise as a counsellor and psychotherapist and have regular supervision in accordance with the guidelines of the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
