Qualifications
I have completed both a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling (BACP accredited training). I have trained in Person-Centred counselling, Gestalt Counselling, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Approaches, Psychodynamic Counselling and Object Relations Theory. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
In addition I have completed training in:
Short-term Counselling
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Working with Young People
Working with Survivors of Abuse
Working with Refugees
Bereavement
I am a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (MA Hons) and also hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Education from the University of Bristol. I have a background of working in education.
In addition to my private work, my counselling experience includes working as a counsellor in a school, a youth centre and in a GP practice.
I am fully insured to practise as a counsellor and have regular supervision in accordance with BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines.
